A MUSICIAN, author and political activist who has toured with the likes of Faithless and Sinead O'Connor will be talking about the political power of music at an event in the region.
Dave Randall will be talking about his book, Sound Systems, at Redhills, in Durham, on Sunday.
Randall, who contributed music to Jeremy Corbyn's Labour leadership campaign videos in 2015, has been associated with a number of campaigns and organisations and has performed for the Stop The War Coalition, Love Music Hate Racism and the People's Assembly.
The event starts at 4pm and tickets cost £6-£8.
Peterlee band The Kets will be playing a short set featuring some of their more politically themed songs.
