WHEELCHAIR users are being urged to help break a Guinness World Record as part of a campaign trying to improve beach access.
Paralympian Stephen Miller is leading the attempt to break the record of the biggest line of moving wheelchair users.
It is aimed at raising awareness about Beach Access North East (BANE), charity which helps wheelchair users get onto beaches so they can spend time with their friends and families.
The world record attempt takes place on Wednesday at Whitley Bay, in front of the Spanish City.
The current record, which was set in the US, is 352.
All wheelchair users are invited to take part and are asked to meet at 11am.
