A MAN facing sentence for a series of offences committed further crimes after failing to appear at court recently.
Paul David Routledge was committed for sentence at Durham Crown Court after admitting burglary, and two other offences, before magistrates, on August 5.
He was bailed for sentence at the crown court on September 6, but, having failed to appear, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.
Routledge has since appeared over video link from Durham Prison, following execution of the warrant.
Ian West, prosecuting, told the court: βIt transpires he was out committing further offences over the weekend.β
Mr West said Routledge has since admitted two more burglaries and theft from a car.
Routledge, 31, of Kent Terrace, Haswell, was remanded in custody for sentence on October 8.
