THE Wind in the Willows, a family-friendly promenade performance, is coming to the gardens of an historic manor house at the weekend.
Attic Door's acclaimed production of the classic tale will be at Crook Hall Gardens, in Durham, at 5.30pm on Sunday.
An audience will meet Ratty, Mole and, of course, the unstoppable Mr Toad, along with other woodland creatures in an hour-long fun-filled adventure.
Attic Door has taken Wind in the Willows on tour, including sell-out performances at eighton Hall, Himley Hall, Greenfield Valley Heritage Park and Wepre Park.
Tom Fisher of Attic Door said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing The Wind in the Willows to Crook Hall.
“The gardens are absolutely magnificent – audiences will feel as though they’re by the sleepy riverside or in the spooky Wild Wood – it’ll be brilliant.”
“Mr Toad has gotten himself into a bit of bother. He’ll need the help of his friends Ratty, Mole and the audience.
There’ll be singing, dancing, and plenty to join in and laugh along with – the perfect treat for the summer holidays.”
Tickets are £10 or £8 for concessions or a family ticket (two adults and two children) is £30. To book, visit www.crookhallgardens.co.uk
