A FAMILY fun day featuring a range of activities for children returned to Durham's Market Place on Friday.
The event, aimed at enticing more people into the city centre, included a static display of birds of prey by Ridgeway Falconry and a vintage bus from the Newton Aycliffe Bus Preservation Society.
Bugs and Stuff had their mini beasts available for children to meet, while youngsters were also able to board a Diggerland excavator and meet members of the city's community police team. Facepainting, story telling and children's funfair rides rounded off the entertainment.
Colin Wilkes, managing director of Durham Markets, said: "The weather wasn't quite as good to today, there has still been a steady turnover, which is great. "We are really grateful to those who turned up to support us."
