A VILLAGE has put on its first outdoor summer fair with classic car and bike show.

The event was held in Ludworth, at the village's community centre.

It was the first time the centre has put on a summer fair with car show and it hopes to grow the event in the future.

Organiser David Woods, who runs the centre, said: "It was fantastic.

"It was well supported by the village but we had a lot of people come from outside as well.

"We normally have an indoor event but we wanted to do it a bit differently and go forward with new ideas.

"We're going to make it an annual event and we've already started planning for next year. We want it to be more of a carnival."

The show featured a variety of classic cars and bikes, while there was also a bouncy castle, live music, facepainting, and craft stalls.

Mr Woods added: "The community centre is the heart of our village so we have to make sure we go forward with new ideas. That's what we are trying to do."
