A CONSULTATION is being held on proposals to introduce 20mph limits on a section of the A167 in Durham.

Durham County Council is considering introducing the limit outside Durham Johnston School, in Crossgate Moor during pick-up and drop-off times.

It is part of the authority's roll-out of 20mph zones outside schools in County Durham.

It is also considering introducing them on Crossgate Peth, Durham, outside St Margaret's C of E Primary School, in Langley Moor's High Street, outside St Patrick's RCVA Primary School, in Moorlands, Consett, outside Benfieldside Primary School, in Station Road and Grange Terrace, in Shotton Colliery, and in Carr Avenue, Brandon, near Brandon Community Primary School.
