THE group hoping to open a new community centre in a village are inviting people to have a say on proposals.
Sherburn Hill Hub is working on plans to open the village's former school as a community centre.
It is having an event on Saturday, at Sherburn Hill Salvation Army, between 10.30am and 12.30pm for people to give their ideas about the building and playing field.
It wants to let people know about what is happening, give people a chance to give their ideas and for them to offer help.
The event includes free children's activities, free home made cakes and bacon sandwiches, available to buy for £1.
Last month, Durham County Council, which closed the school in 2018, approved the plans to allow the community centre to go ahead.
