A KOOKY and spooky family will be taking to the stage next week in a brand new show.
Dryburn Theatrical Workshop’s production of the musical comedy, The Addams Family, is being performed in Chester-le-Street.
In the show, Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, is all grown up and has a shocking secret that only Gomez knows.
She has fallen in love with a sweet young man from a respectable family.
With his cherished Morticia in the dark, will Gomez manage to keep his daughter’s secret until the two families meet for a fateful dinner with hilarious consequences?
Uncle Fester, Lurch, Pugsley and more feature in the heart-warming story of love, family and friendship with a twist.
Lee Passmoor, chairman of Dryburn Theatrical Workshop, said: “Everyone is familiar with the weird and wonderful Addams Family, and this new musical comedy brings the characters alive, and in some cases back to life, on stage with a very funny script and fabulous finger-clicking music.”
Show times are at 7.15pm from Wednesday 19 until Saturday 22 June at the Park View Theatre in Chester-le-Street, DH3 3QA.
Tickets are £10 for all on the Wednesday, and £12 for adults and £10 for concessions Thursday to Saturday, with reductions on block bookings available.
