A SPECIALIST hair dressing course is being launched at a North-East college.

East Durham College, in Peterlee, is working with Lee Stafford Education, to help students learn the latest trends and styles.

Launching in September, the Lee Stafford Academy will be open to both learners age 16-18, and to adult learners who would like to retrain as a hairdresser.

The course will be taught at the college’s dedicated salon training facility, and open to the public at the main campus.

College principal Suzanne Duncan said: “There’s never been a more exciting time to be a hairdresser in the North-East.

“Our hairdressing courses have always been highly popular, and we wanted to expand the exceptional training we already give our students even further, in order to increase their employability.

“Students will be among the most employable in the region, thanks to the cutting-edge tuition and brand recognition that working with a stylist such as Lee provides.”
