Police urge householders to increase home security
POLICE have urged residents in Bowburn to remain vigilant following an increase in burglaries in Bowburn.
PC Anna Pittam, from Durham City CID, said: “Please be assured that officers from CID, response and the local neighbourhood team are working together to help prevent and detect these crimes.
“Extra patrols will be put in place but we are encouraging residents to ensure that their properties are secure.”
Anyone who is aware of suspicious activity in the area is asked to report it on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
