A CHARITY event to raise money to support people with life-limiting illnesses is being held next month.

St Cuthbert’s Hospice’s annual Gentlemen’s Dinner will be held at Ramside Hall Hotel from 7pm on Friday, May 17.

The popular event has been a staple in the Durham-based charity’s fundraising calendar since 2010.

The local businessmen who have attended the event over the years have helped to raise £162,600 in that time, enough to fund over 70 days of hospice care.

Kay Carrick, senior donor development fundraiser, said: “We continue to be amazed by the support of local businessmen who come along to our Gent’s Dinner year after year.

“The event once again promises to be an evening to remember, filled with a delicious three-course dinner, side-splitting comedy from Mike Farrell, an exclusive raffle and auction.”

“Prizes include tickets two £500 Karting North-East vouchers, a signed Bobby Charlton shirt, two tickets to the Royal Yacht Britannia, tickets to see comedian Romesh Ranganathan and a signed Newcastle United Shirt.”

Tickets to the event, sponsored by Pulman Motor Group, cost £50 per person or book a full table of 10 for £500. Contact the development team on 0191-386-1170 ext.5 or email fundraising@stcuthbertshospice.com to book tickets.
