AN application has been made to replace some derelict buildings with seven town houses.
Eileen Wood has submitted the application for a site in Back Western Hill, Durham.

The land was most recently occupied by RWD Motor Body Repairs, but the buildings are now derelict and suffer increasingly from vandalism.
If approved, the new scheme would include a mix of three and four bedroom properties, with undercroft car parking.
Planning permission for another development on the land was granted in 2008, but this has since lapsed.
Terry Greenwell, an agent for the applicant, said: βIn terms of the design philosophy the client, who has a long term and sentimental attachment to the site, feels that a traditional aesthetic is appropriate.β
