A LAW firm has made three new appointments as part of its continuing expansion.

Lauren Frisby has joined the real estate team at Swinburne Maddison in Durham as part of a newly created position as a commercial property solicitor.

Having obtained a distinction in her LPC exams, she brings experience in landlord and tenant matters, gained within the retail, hospitality and professional services sectors.

Sophie Allerton, a corporate and commercial solicitor, is also now part of the team.

She qualified in 2017 after working in a similar role within a Yorkshire law firm and brings experience of business share and asset acquisitions and disposals, advising on data protection matters and the preparation of legal agreements for shareholders and partnerships as well as bespoke articles of association.

In another newly created role, Swinburne Maddison has strengthened its marketing team with the appointment of Sunderland University masters degree graduate Sara Stammers as a marketing executive.

Victoria Walton, one of the partners at the firm, which is based at Venture House, Aykley Heads, said: “We are continuing to invest heavily in staff and infrastructure to support our plans going forward and our focus now is to strengthen our position in a competitive market.”
