A COMMUNITY choir is joining a Brit award-winning vocal trio on stage.
Blake will be entertaining audiences at the Empire Theatre in Consett on Thursday, November 22, as part of their tenth anniversary tour.
The internationally renowned vocalists will perform tracks from their new album, which includes classical pieces and pop favourites, ranging from The Impossible Dream to the Nessun Dorma.
Ollie Baines, Stephen Bowman and Humphrey Berney will not be the only ones marking a special milestone.
Consett Citizens’ Choir will join them on stage for a number of songs, as the singers prepare to celebrate its 70th anniversary.
Musical director Joyce Shaw said: “We are thrilled to be performing with Blake.
“We are entering our platinum year of celebration so this is a very exciting venture for us.
“We will be providing backing accompaniment for a number of lovely songs, as well as singing one of our favourites from our own repertoire.”
The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £22.50 and can be booked by calling 03000-262-400.
