A FAMILY activity day is being held to give people an idea of life during the First World War.
The event on Saturday is part of Durham Cathedral’s programme to mark the centenary of the end of the conflict.
The event takes place between 10.30am and 4pm and will include a number of different activities.
Charlotte Rowbotham, head of education at the cathedral, said: “There will be engaging learning opportunities for all ages, including craft activities, virtual reality headsets to show life in the trenches of WW1 and the opportunity to learn more about the DLI Chapel within the cathedral.”
The cathedral is also hosting an exhibition: Armistice: Living with the Peace, which is on at Open Treasure until February 2.
Tickets are also on sale for its Festival of Remembrance, which takes place on Saturday, November 10.
