A PROGRAMME of spooky Halloween tricks and treats is taking place at a County Durham park.

Let’s Circus are performing a Fright Night show at Wharton Park, in Durham, on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 October.

The spook-tacular performance will take place in the park’s amphitheatre between 6pm and 8pm each night and ticket holders are encouraged to come in fancy dress.

The international cast will include the chainsaw juggling, unicycling and sword-swallowing Lucky Diamond Rich, Guinness World Record Holder as the world’s most tattooed man, and famous wirewalker Señor Chris Bullzini, who will perform as ringmaster of a circus of artists from across the world.

As the action takes place outdoors and after dark, families should wrap up warm, and bring torches, blankets and a chair if they want a seat, to fend off the shadows and fight off chills.

Steve Cousins from Let’s Circus said “We’re looking forward to bringing a genuinely unique event to Wharton Park. We’re not a ‘jump out and go boo’ fright fest like other events - our audiences enjoy a highly skilled, theatrical and funny show in a beautiful outdoor theatre. This year we’ve got some truly remarkable artists on the bill.”

Fright Night tickets, priced at £10 per person or £36 for a family ticket for up to four, are available from the Gala Box Office on 03000 266 600.
