TWINS, triplets and quads from across the North-East are invited to celebrate the magic of multiples.

A fun day, in aid of More than One, a charitable fund supporting multiple births at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle is being held on Saturday, from 11am-4pm at Saltwell Park in Gateshead.

The event is organised by award-winning midwife Sandra Bossman who has dedicated 18 years of her 40 year career to specialising in multiple births.

She said: “This will be our sixth event and all money raised on the day will go to our More than One fund.

“Our last event attracted over 1,000 people with 180 sets of twins, six sets of triplets and two sets of quadruplets.”

A range of vendors and taster sessions will be available catering specifically for the needs of multiples including classes such as fitness and baby sign. There will also be fairground rides, face painting, food and craft stalls, competitions, a bubbleologist and lots of fun for all the family.

Tickets can be bought on the day and are £10 per family ticket and £2 per visitor accompanying those with a family ticket.
