POLICE have found a large quantity of vacuum packed cannabis after stopping a vehicle travelling into the region from Liverpool.
Durham Constabulary said 12kg of the drug was found in the county following a tip-off from a member of the public. The driver was arrested for possession with intent to supply.
Acting upon intelligence in a separate action, police stopped a vehicle travelling from Stockport to the Durham area on the A1(M).
Officers found one kilo of cocaine was found in the boot of the car. The driver was arrested.
Meanwhile, a Citroen Picasso was reported stolen from Darlington.
Two officers sighted the vehicle on the A66 between Darlington and Middlesbrough. It was stopped using a pre-emptive box and the driver was arrested on suspicion of theft, drug driving and reported for no insurance.
The successes were the latest in Operation Dragoon.
