SLIMMERS have helped an animal charity by raising money while shedding pounds.
Coxhoe Slimming World group, which has around 65 members, staged a six-week sponsored weight loss drive, raising £40 for Stray Aid, which is based near the County Durham village.
Lisa Watts, who runs the slimmers’ group, said: “Stray Aid is Coxhoe-based, they do a great job with the dogs and they need all the support they can get.”
The Slimming World group meets in St Andrew’s Methodist Church on Mondays, at 5pm and 7pm. For more information, call Lisa Watts on 07974-821-536.
