GYM coaches threw a party for an Olympic torchbearer to thank him for his charity efforts.
Octogenarian Larry Smith, who became County Durham’s oldest Olympic torchbearer when he carried the London 2012 flame through Blackhall, east Durham, this summer, has raised more than £600 for Diabetes UK through a range of fundraising activities.
Coaches at Bannatyne’s threw a party to thank Mr Smith, of Pittington, near Durham, at the Dragonville health club, in Durham, today (Wednesday, December 12).
