A FRIENDS group has announced plans for a second fundraising auction - a year after its inaugural event helped to save a music centre.
The Friends of the Forum is appealing for donations for the auction which will take place on Sunday, November 13, to raise funds for the venue, in Borough Road, Darlington.
Last year, £2,700 from an auction added to money raised at other fundraising events to help secure the future of The Forum and enabled it to formally operate as a community interest company.
Prizes for this year's auction include a four-bedroom villa in Turkey for a week, afternoon tea for two at Rockliffe Hall, and drum and guitar lessons.
The volunteer group is fundraising for a new heating system and upgrades to equipment in the rehearsal rooms.
