AN award winning arts group will be celebrating their achievements this week by performing at a youth ceremony.
Cast from Darlington Arts Academy's spring production of The Wiz will perform at Darlington Civic Theatre on Tuesday as part of the Vibe Awards.
The awards celebrate the achievements of young people across the town. Academy members will be awarded for their contribution to the arts during the evening.
The Wiz takes place at Hummersknott School from March 12 to 14.
Academy director Rebecca McGarvie said: "This upbeat, funky musical tells the well known story of Dorothy and friends as they go off to see the Wizard of Oz with a few unexpected twists and turns along the way.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for our members to perform in a magnificent theatre. We hope their vibrant performance will inspire other young people to join the group."
