A COMMUNITY support hub set up to help people during the coronavirus pandemic will no longer offer a weekend service.

Darlington Borough Council says the change is being made as demand for the hub's services has started to drop.

It was set up to help people struggling as a result of the pandemic, offering help and advice.

Regular users of the service have been informed of the change.

The hub will now be open between 8.30am and 4.45pm from Monday to Wednesday, from 9.30am to 4.45pm on Thursdays and from 8.30am to 4.15pm on Fridays.

It also provides up-to-date information about support in the community, and details and opening hours for services like supermarkets, pharmacies and food banks on its website, which can be found by visiting livingwell.darlington.gov.uk/information/hubinformation.
