THE family of Iris Wyatt have paid tribute to a “strong willed woman who was well loved”.
Mrs Wyatt died on May 31, aged 84. She was born in Darlington – living in Eldon Street with her parents and siblings Edgar and Joan, who have passed away. Mrs Wyatt married Ronald in 1957 and the couple had a daughter, Denise. Mrs Wyatt also had three grandchildren, Michael, Christopher and Leanne, seven great-grandchildren, and was mother-in-law to Dave.
Denise said: “She was quite a private woman and was very well liked. She was strong willed and her home and family were the most important things to her. She loved her home and loved spending time with us. She was very independent, until she became poorly.”
Mrs Wyatt’s funeral was at Darlington Crematorium on June 12.
