FORMER Darlington forward Jordan Nicholson has signed for Boston United, who are due to be Quakers’ opponents on Tuesday.

Boston have brought Nicholson in on loan until the end of the season from Hereford, the club he joined from Darlington last summer.

The 26-year-old scored 11 goals in his single season with Quakers before moving to Edgar Street, but has recently been on loan to Buxton.

The playmaker could make his Boston debut against Quakers - Boston's match with Chester on Saturday has been postponed.

"Jordan is a player I have tried to sign on a number of occasions since being Boston United manager," said Pilgrims boss Craig Elliott.

"He provides us with attacking threat and has a lot of quality in the final third that at the present time we lack.

"His goals-to-games ratio at this level for an attacking midfielder is very impressive."

Darlington play at home to Farsley Celtic on Saturday and travel to Boston on Tuesday evening.
