THE Dolphin Centre is set to see a new concert by Darlington Music Society on Saturday February 8 at 7,30pm.

The concert will be performed by the Pelleas Ensemble with Luba Tunnicliffe playing the Viola, Henry Roberts on the Flute and Oliver Wass playing the Harp.

They are set to play pieces by Sergei Prokofiev, Maurice Ravel, Arnold Bax, Andy Scott and Francois Couperin

The Pelleas Ensemble was formed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2011. The group recently won the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Henderson Chamber Ensemble Award playing and in 2017 they won the Elias Fawcett Award for Outstanding Chamber Ensemble at the Royal Overseas League competition.

The Pelleas Ensemble will first be making a special appearance at the Queen Elizabeth 6th form College in the afternoon of Friday February 7

They will staging a concert especially themed for the students with demonstrations and interactive exchanges. The students will then be able to attend the Saturday concert for free with an adult who can also attend for free.
