After last night’s FA Trophy match was postponed, Darlington’s focus has switched to Saturday’s game at York City.
A frozen pitch put paid to Quakers’ scheduled round one replay with Solihull Moors at Blackwell Moors, and no date has yet been agreed for the rearranged game.
Round two is due to be played on Saturday, January 11, though that is now a potential date for Darlington’s match with Solihull.
Wednesday, January 8 is also a possibility, though that would require finding a new date for Darlington’s game at Guiseley scheduled for Tuesday, January 7.
Manager Alun Armstrong will consider giving new signing Sean Reid a debut at the weekend against York, who are second in the National League having lost only one of their 20 league games so far.
Darlington are at home to Spennymoor Town on Boxing Day, and travel to the Brewery Field on New Year’s Day, while on December 28 Armstrong’s team play away to Blyth Spartans. All are 3pm kick-offs.
