DARLINGTON will play away to Tamworth in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup after they won tonight’s replay against Hereford following a penalty shootout.

After drawing 0-0 on Saturday they met this evening at Edgar Street and again finished goalless after 90 minutes with neither side able to score in extra-time either.

But Tamworth came out on top in the shootout 3-1, so Quakers will head to The Lamb Ground on Saturday, October 19 for what will be Darlington’s third away tie in succession having so far won at both Trafford and Leamington.

Tamworth are third in the Southern League, one tier below Quakers.

Darlington last played at Tamworth in February 2018, the teams drawing 0-0 on the Staffordshire club's artificial surface which has been in place since the summer of 2016.

The winners of fourth qualifying round ties receive £18,750, while the losers get £6,250.
