A CHILDREN'S theatre festival will return to the stage bringing with it a variety of performances.

TakeOff Festival, England’s leading children’s theatre festival, returns to County Durham from Monday, October 21 to Saturday, October 26.

Produced by Theatre Hullabaloo and supported by Durham County Council, the annual festival returns to multiple venues across County Durham for a jam-packed week of over 70 performances.

In Darlington, performances such as Sky, a lyrical piece of dance theatre for those aged two to four, and Five, an exploration of the human senses, will be presented at Theatre Hullabaloo as part of the festival.

Laura Case, Executive Director at Darlington-based Theatre Hullabaloo, which organises the Festival said: “TakeOff Festival returns in 2019 with a programme of world-class theatre that’s better than ever.

"We have an outstanding programme for children to enjoy in their schools or in the local community across County Durham.

"With over 70 performances throughout the week in multiple venues across County Durham, we are confident that there is something to suit all ages.”

Tickets for the festival are priced £10 adult and £7 child. Adult tickets when purchased with a child ticket will reduce to £7. Family tickets are priced at £24 for four people with a minimum of one adult.
