TWO supermarket employees have received long-service awards after clocking up 25 years service each.

To mark the occasion, celebrations were held for Transport Manager, Alex Turner and Logistics Manager, Phil Sanders at Aldi’s Regional Distribution Centre in Darlington.

Mr Turner has been part of the team since the centre its doors opened in 1995, and Mr Sanders has fulfilled numerous roles before starting his current position as logistics manager thirteen years ago.

Mr Turner said: “It has been a privilege to work for the company for 25 years. During this time I have supported the successful opening of many stores and distribution centres.

Mr Sanders added: “I have had many proud moments during my career at Aldi, where myself and my colleagues were given the opportunity to really impact the direction of the business.

“My favourite thing about Aldi is the teamwork and togetherness of my colleagues, and I look forward to working alongside them for many more years to come.”
