TOP-class motor racing will be roaring back to the North-East this weekend for a two-day meet of the British Racing and Sports Car Club.

Thirteen races in total will take place at Croft Circuit, near Darlington, across Saturday and Sunday as racers contest various classes around the full international 2.127-mile circuit which has recently been resurfaced.

The Caterham marque will be the headliners of the weekend, with competitors in the Avon Tyres Caterham Seven 420R Championship leading the way.

Lingfield’s Gordon Sawyer heads the Santander Caterham Seven 310R Championship after a double at the previous round whilst in the Teekay Couplings Production GTi Championship, Kent driver Simon Hill aims to extend his lead in the VW Golf Mk5.

With all classes having a race each day, the Hyperdrive ST-XR Challenge goes one better with a third race on Sunday for various Ford saloons.

Practice gets under way at 9.30am on Saturday with the first of five races commencing at 1.50pm. Sunday sees track action from 12.10pm with the remaining eight races starting at 12.45pm. For more information, call 01325-721815.
