DARLINGTON'S Hippodrome theatre has announced its summer season which includes local actor Stephen Tompkinson in Educating Rita as well as a handful of murder mysteries.
Agatha Christie lovers are in for a treat as The Mousetrap, starring Gwyneth Strong (April 29 – May 4) and the classic Miss Marple tale A Murder is Announced (September 10 – 14) will be followed by as The Lady Vanishes, (October 15 – 19) a new stage adaptation based on the classic Hitchcock film.
Educating Rita will be staged between August 12 and 17.
And musical fans can enjoy Jaymi Hensley in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat next month, The Buddy Holly Story in September and Madagascar The Musical in October.
Darlington Operatic Society will be performing Jekyll & Hyde the Musical from October 23 to November 2.
