OUR series of gruesome photos of 1960s car accidents has produced lots of response.
Steve Blackett, who himself runs a garage on the Nestfield Industrial Estate in Darlington, has the scrapbook he compiled when he was a child, and it includes lots of happy cuttings, but also some of accidents, both road and rail.
This vehicle, and sadly its occupant, did not fare very well in this collision with a telegraph pole.
We thought at first it took place in Chem Street, but then we released that the 'I' had dropped out of the chemist's shop name in the background.
