A COMPETITION aimed at educating pupils on the benefits of catching a bus is being launched across the borough.
Arriva North East is inviting schools in Darlington to join the contest asking schoolchildren to use their imagination to draw what they think a bus will look like in 100 years.
The winner, selected by a team of bus experts, will have their artwork displayed on an Arriva bus, as well as receiving a school trip for them and 30 of their classmates to the Sea Life Centre, courtesy of Arriva North East.
Helen Redford, regional marketing manager for Arriva said: “Launching this competition in schools across Darlington is a fun way to encourage children to think creatively about what our future might look like.
“Rewarding the winner with a trip to the Sea Life Centre is a great way to show them how precious our environment is and the actions they can take in order to protect it, with public transport being a key one.”
The competition will run from March 25 to March 29.
Schools can enter the contest by emailing arriva@smokinggunr.co.uk
