YOUNG artists had the opportunity to get close to a distinctive sculpture that is a star attractions in one of the region’s museums.
Clara – the white rhino – had a rare trip out to Darlington to inspire children at the town’s Corporation Road School.

The white marble left its regular home at Bowes Museum, near Barnard Castle, for the day to help inspire the youngsters’ artistic talents.
Julia Dunn, the museum’s education officer, delivered a talk about Clara as well as reading the story book – Clara The (mostly) true story of the rhinoceros who dazzled Kings, Inspired Artists and won hearts of Everyone...While She Ate Her Way Up and Down a Continent.
