HUNDREDS of households across Darlington were without water for a number of hours on Thursday evening.
Following a power cut, Northumbrian Water's pumps were out of action, affecting customers in the Darlington area.
Many had no water, or water was at low pressure.
Shortly after 9.30pm, the company confirmed that an electrician had fixed the pumps and the water supply would be restored over the next two to three hours.
A spokeswoman tweeted: "Thank you to everyone who's been affected this evening, we know it's been difficult."
