RESIDENTS of a street in Darlington have won the People's Postcode Lottery in its latest daily run.
Eight people of Ketton Avenue (DL3 0AT) were awarded £1,000 each in the prize lottery which was drawn on Wednesday, January 9.
People's Postcode Lottery ambassador and former TV presenter Judie McCourt said: "I don’t think there’s any better way to kick start the new year than with a lovely lottery win.
"Well done to everyone in Darlington who has picked up a prize today and got 2019 off to a winning start."
WINNING STREET: Ketton Avenue in Darlington was chosen at random
In November 2018 residents in a street in Spennymoor were chosen as prize winners of the lottery.
Only two people in Castlegarth in the town (DL16 7BQ) won the prize and received £30,000.
The People's Postcode Lottery has become synonymous with Billy Paul's rendition of Let 'em In which features on all of its national TV adverts.
The lottery also donates a percentage from each subscription paid by entrants to charities across the UK and abroad.
