THE Durham Challenge Cup tie between Darlington and Hartlepool United will take place this month at Blackwell Meadows.

Quakers revealed at the weekend that they had been considering switching the tie to The Northern Echo Arena, but today it has been confirmed Blackwell will be the venue and it will be segregated.

The match, a third round tie with a place in the semi-finals at stake, will be on Tuesday, January 22 (7.30pm) with admission £10 to stand and £12 for a seated ticket.

A Quakers statement read: “On police advice the game is all ticket and will be segregated. Home supporters will be able to purchase tickets both online and in Quaker Retail.

“Hartlepool fans are advised to check with their club for details of the sales at their club. Arrangements for the sale of tickets will be announced by both clubs later in the week.”

Though not a competition high among the priorities of either club, Darlington have used their two games so far - wins over Esh Winning and Stockton Town - to give run-outs to a handful of first-team players.
