DARLINGTON will have two new players in their squad for tomorrow’s match at Chorley having brought in some fresh blood on loan.
Alex Wollerton has arrived from Leeds United with Andrew Nelson making a temporary switch from Sunderland, both joining for a month.
Quakers have six games in that time and the squad clearly needed strengthening – all five substitutes were no older than 17 for last weekend’s game against Nuneaton Borough.
Wollerton, described as a right-sided midfielder by Darlington, is 19 and has previously played for Leeds’ Under-18 and Under-23 teams.
Nelson, a striker, is 21-years-old and has some senior experience having played on loan for Harrogate Town, Hartlepool United and Falkirk. Last season he scored four times in 12 appearances while with Falkirk.
Nelson makes the move to Blackwell Meadows from Sunderland a week after winger Williams Kokolo did the same.
Alex Henshall has returned to training from a hamstring strain but is unlikely to dislodge Kokolo from the left-wing, while manager Tommy Wright is not optimistic about the chances of Liam Hughes and Simon Ainge playing tomorrow due to their respective injuries.
