Burglary arrest

POLICE in Darlington have charged a 44-year-old man with eight offences. They include attempted dwelling burglary, shed burglary, attempted shed burglary, theft from a vehicle and four counts of attempted theft from a motor vehicle. The charges all relate to a number of alleged incidents in the Darrowby Drive and Barlby Drive area of the town in the early hours of Thursday, October 4.

Paddington film

THE Friends Meeting House will be hosting a screening of the family film Paddington tomorrow at 2pm. There will also be Paddington-themed activities and even a marmalade sandwich bar, with gluten and dairy free options also available. CROWN Street Library has launched an audio book club which will run on the first Monday of every month at 2pm. It is suitable for anyone with a love of talking books. Refreshments are provided.
