Summer lunch

FAMILIES are invited to summer lunch-making sessions on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s over the school holidays. The sessions with fun activities and hot food will be held between 11am and 12.30pm in Northland Methodist Church, off North Road, Darlington. Children must be accompanied by an adult and the lunch-making sessions will begin on July 31. The club has been set up to bridge the “holiday hunger gap”. Coffee morning

A COFFEE morning with stalls and a raffle will be held this morning. Everyone is welcome to the event between 10am and 11.30am in St Andrew’s Church hall, Haughton-le-Skerne, Darlington.

Stage show

NOT Dead Yet! is a new one man play featuring Peter Cockerill, written by Rob Wilson and directed by Andrew Harrison, the play uses real life experiences to explore memory loss. Music and humour are used to challenge people’s perceptions and confront pre-conceptions of this all too common issue. The production, at Darlington’s The Majestic Theatre on Wednesday, July 25 from 7.30pm, is a pay what you decide event. Customers need to book a ticket but without making any payment, then decide after the show what they think it is worth – removing the risk of paying for something you might not enjoy.
