PUPILS at a North-East primary school put all their cards on the table for a festive competition.
Two students at Firthmoor Primary School in Darlington won first and second prize in the Darlington Christmas Card Competition with their cheery designs.
The good news that Elise and Matvey in Year Four were taking first and second place respectively was announced in assembly on Monday, November 30.
The lucky winners received a certificate, a £10 Waterstone’s voucher and a letter from the mayor.
The festive design of the cards had to fit on a sheet of A5 and show links to Christmas and Darlington’s railway heritage. The winning design will be posted to every resident in the Eastbourne area.
The students entered the competition after the Councillor for Eastbourne, Kevin Nicholson B.E.M, approached the school to take part alongside other schools in the area.
