Darlington 1 - 3 Swansea City.

DARLINGTON'S winning run under Dave Penney is finally over after Quakers crashed out of the FA Cup to Swansea City.

Despite taking a second minute lead through Martin Smith, goals from Leon Britton, Andy Robinson and substitute Adebayo Akinfenwa was enough to inflict Quakers' first defeat under Penney.

After six straight wins, Darlington made the perfect start when Smith poked the home side in front to the delight of a disappointing 4,183 crowd.

However, Quakers' lead was short-lived as Britton levelled for the League One side in the 15th minute, crashing the ball into the roof of the net unmarked from Lee Trundle's cross.

Robinson then gave Swansea a 52nd minute lead when he was quickest to react after Quakers keeper Sam Russell failed to gather Darren Pratley's effort from the edge of the area.

Akinfenwa added a third in the 80th minute to kill off any hopes the home side had of getting back into the game.
