FAMILIES are being invited to make the most of the spring weather with a teddy bear’s picnic in the Denes on May 18.
It will take place in the Play Dene park at the end of Greenbank Road between 11am to 2pm and is being promoted by Darlington Council.
BE AWARE: Darlington police are warning residents to be wary of illegitimate door-to-door sellers in the town.
Officers have received reports of people travelling in a white Transit van attempting to sell food items to residents.
A police spokesperson said: “Please ensure you verify their credentials to ensure they are legitimately selling goods door-to-door, and if you are unsure refuse to buy.”
