A WOMAN who let her ex-boyfriend drive her car in Darlington without insurance has been fined more than £600.
Darlington Magistrates’ Court heard today (Wednesday, April 30) that Danielle Horton, 29, let her ex Liam Cook, 26, drive her Peugeot on Northgate in Darlington on January 28.
He was stopped by officers who found he was not insured to drive it.
Horton 29, of George Avenue, Peterlee, did not appear in court but the case was proved in her absence.
She was fined £610 and ordered to pay £85 costs, a £35 victim surcharge and had six points added to her licence.
Cook, of Northumberland Street, Peterlee, pleaded guilty in writing to driving without insurance and to driving a car with faulty lights.
He was fined total costs of £240 and also had six points added to his licence.
