DARLINGTON audiences only have days left to book seats to see a popular choir in concert.

Darlington Choral Society's programme, for its performance on Saturday, March 23, features Elgar’s The Music Makers and Vaughan Williams’ Toward the Unknown Regionon.

The performance will be held at 7.30pm, at the Dolphin Centre.

Joining the choir will be mezzo soprano soloist Marie Elliott and Darlington Sinfonia Orchestra.

Darlington Choral Society was previously known as Darlington Choral and Orchestral Association and has existed since the early 1900s.

In 1970 the choir joined the National Federation of Music Societies, now known as Making Music, and became the Darlington Choral Society.

It performs choral music covering both traditional and modern repertoires under the baton of its musical director Richard Bloodworth.

Tickets cost £12 (£5 concessions) and are available from the Dolphin Centre. Call 01325-388406.
