THREE people have been charged in connection with the death of a pensioner last year.

Two adults and a juvenile are due to appear in court on a variety of charges following the death of John Truscott in April.

The 85-year-old was crossing the road in Eston, near Middlesbrough, when he was in collision with a motorcycle on the afternoon of April 2.

The pensioner passed away ten days after the incident.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "A 34-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving with no licence, and driving with no insurance.

"A 20-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy have been charged with dangerous driving, driving with no licence, and driving with no insurance.

"All three are from the Eston area and are to appear in court in due course.

"Our thoughts remain with Mr Truscott’s family and friends."
