APPEAL: Michael Claydon, 26, has been arrested by police in connection with a number of offences
A MAN who has been wanted by police for more than a fortnight has been arrested in connection with a number of offences.
Officers in Bishop Auckland launched an appeal to find Michael Claydon on December 20.
The 26-year-old, understood to be from the Shildon and Darlington areas, was arrested yesterday (January 4) in Shildon following a call from a member of public.
Mr Claydon was arrested in connection with a shoplifting in Darlington and vehicle crimes in Shildon and Newton Aycliffe.
