POLICE are hunting a man wanted for recall to prison.

Joshua Lee Sargent, 20, was released from prison on Friday, September 14, but breached the terms of his licence by not living at a specified address.

He was jailed for three years in April, last year, for a robbery in Ripon Market Place, a month earlier.

Although his whereabouts are unknown, Sargent was living in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, and is originally from Thirsk, North Yorkshire.

Acting Chief Inspector Mark Gee, of Hambleton and Richmondshire safer neighbourhood command, said Sargent’s behaviour would only increase his prison term when caught.

He said: “Joshua, if you see or hear this appeal, I urge you to hand yourself in to the nearest police station immediately.

Every day that you remain at large will only increase the term of your sentence when you are caught.

“If anyone knows where Joshua Sargent is or you have seen a man matching his description, please contact the police or Crimestoppers.

“You are not doing him or society any favours by allowing him to evade justice.”

Call police on 101 and select option one, or call Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
